Everything in the universe is made up of energy that vibrates at different frequencies. Your personal energy and the level at which it vibrates play a pivotal role in your mind and body wellness. Whether it’s an invasive stranger on the subway, road rage on your commute or getting yelled at by your boss, certain encounters throughout our day can catch us off guard and send our energy into a negative tailspin. Equipping ourselves with the proper tools to combat these exhausting confrontations can be extremely beneficial for maintaining optimal health.
Here are some of our favorite tactics for protecting our energy and raising our frequencies. Try one of these methods for yourself and see the difference in your energy!
Stop, Breathe and Feel
Taking a moment to pause before reacting to any circumstance is a great way to remain centered. Take a deep breath and observe any emotions that arise. This may help you better navigate your next moments with more clarity and save you from exerting unnecessary energy.
Practice Gratitude
Exercising gratitude is a quick and easy way to reset and uplift your energy. Pause and run through a list of things you are grateful for, however big or small. This allows you to divert your energy away from the negative and towards the positive.
Meditate
Meditation has many proven benefits, and similar to gratitude, this practice gently draws attention away from an emotionally charged moment and refocuses it on the present. Concentrate on your breath through long inhales and slow exhales. Allow any thoughts or emotions to simply fall away. You may experience an almost immediate mood shift and calm come over you.
Listen to Happy Music
We all have at least one song that always brings a smile to our face and gets our toes tapping. If you leave a situation feeling less than stellar, put on your favorite upbeat tunes and sing and dance your way to a higher frequency.
When In Doubt, Walk It Out
Sometimes we just need to move. When the gym is out of reach, going on a short walk helps quickly release physical tension while giving the mind pleasant sights and sounds to focus on instead. Fresh air and a few extra endorphins will surely boost your mood and shift your energy to a much more positive plane.
